Jack Burkart

Hi! I'm Jack, and welcome to my webpage! My CV contains most of the professional information you may want to know about me!

I am currently Faculty in Mathematics at Bard College at Simon's Rock. I started here in July 2023. I've previously held postdoctal fellowships at the university of Wisconsin-Madison and the Math Science Research Institute (now SLMath).

I received my Ph.D in Mathematics from Stony Brook University in May 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Chris Bishop.

My current research interests revolve around complex analysis, dynamical systems, analysis on metric spaces, and the fractal geometry that shows up in these areas. I really enjoy problems I can "see"! I am also passionate about mathematics education for students of all levels, from middle school to the university level.
